In late spring 2003 I was asked to shoot a wedding in Denmark. My training
is as a fine art photographer and I had experience shooting actors, models,
and musicians, but only limited experience shooting weddings. However the
family of the bride had seen my work, and it was too good of an opportunity
to pass up, so I got on the plane to Copenhagen! The experience was so
overwhelmingly positive that I decided I wanted to do more.
Part documentary, part fashion shoot, part journalism, wedding photography
demanded the use of all my talents, and I fell in love with it.
Over the past five years I've shot a few weddings, here and there, but I
never fully dedicated myself to the wedding business - until now. So I'm
looking for a few beautiful brides and grooms to help me launch this new
faucet of my photography business!
My approach to weddings is a little different than the norm in that I'm only
asking a booking fee of $200. After your wedding, if you fall in love with
your images - and I promise you will! - then you can purchase any prints or
albums or even a CD of all the images that tell the story of your day. But
you don't have to make that decision before the wedding, or pay for it ahead
of time. It's a relaxed, and simple approach and I hope you'll take a moment
to think about whether it would work for you, and for your wedding.
